We are delighted to share that Jeewi Lee (*1987, Seoul) has been awarded the GASAG Art Prize 2026. The artist, whose practice unfolds between installation, sculpture, and intervention, reveals traces of time, memory, and transience within seemingly everyday materials.
The jury recognized her scientifically precise yet poetically conceptual approach to material and space – a sensibility we deeply value within our collection. Initiated by GASAG and awarded in cooperation with the Berlinische Galerie, the prize is presented every two years to honor outstanding artistic positions at the intersection of art, science, and technology.
