Ruben Einsmann
*1994 in Hamburg, Germany
Lives and works in Leipzig, Germany and Brittany, France
Educated in Fine Arts at the HBK Braunschweig University of Art (Diploma, classes of Norbert Bisky and Thomas Virnich), Einsmann developed an early and distinct visual language informed by gestural, partly urban inscriptions as well as by archaic form and color spaces. His works oscillate between control and chance, construction and dissolution.
His artistic practice spans painting, installation, and sculptural interventions, and is marked by an intensive engagement with materiality, surface, and spatial perception. Einsmann’s works operate at the intersection of image and object, exploring processes of condensation, layering, and transformation.
Einsmann has exhibited internationally, including in Berlin, Vienna, Barcelona, Dubai, Santiago de Chile, Capri, and Copenhagen, and has participated in numerous international art fairs. He is represented by Plan X Gallery, Milan, Italy.
